MAGGIE BERGMAN

During my senior year at Elon University, I was cast as my dream role, Violet in “Violet.” I have lived the entirety of my life with a prosthetic eye, and heavily empathize with Violet’s struggles and insecurities. We both know what it is like to go through life with an impairment right on your face for the world to see and make judgements of. 

 

After Elon’s 2020 Spring production of “Violet” was canceled due to COVID-19 (sad), I created and facilitated an online performance including two videos: One was a ‘highlight reel’ where I performed four of Violet’s solos in chronological order, and the other was the ensemble number, “On My Way,” including the rest of the cast and crew.
